Florida is one of the top vacation destinations in the USA, attracting millions of visitors per year to enjoy beautiful beaches, vibrant cities, important historical sites, eleven national parks, and world-famous theme parks.

ALCOM builds aluminum trailers for all kinds of exciting outdoor activities in Florida – we even have a manufacturing site in DeLand! Whether you’re hauling rafts, personal watercraft, motorcycles, or ATVs and side by sides, ALCOM has the light, rugged aluminum trailers to get your toys where they need to go.

There’s no snowmobile season in Florida, but four-wheeling is a year-round sport in the Sunshine State, where temperatures rarely dip below forty degrees Fahrenheit. If you love off-roading, beaches, and palm trees, a trip to Florida might be the perfect vacation!

The Sunshine State

Florida is the southernmost state on the Eastern seaboard, and the third-most populated state in the USA. The state is known for its vacation destinations; 1200 miles of coastline full of beautiful beaches on both coasts; some of the most famous theme parks in the world; and eleven national parks! But Florida is also home to year-round four-wheeling, and the state is dotted with off-roading parks where you can haul your ATV and have a great time.

Panhandle to Peninsula

Where will you go? There's so much to see in Florida, from the Panhandle in the north, stretching out between Alabama and the Gulf of Mexico, all the way down to Key West on the southern tip of the state.

Most of this sunny state is located on a peninsula, bordered on its west coast by the Gulf of Mexico, and on the east by the Atlantic Ocean. Orlando, home to a dozen theme parks, is close to the middle of the state. It's near the Ocala National Forest, a lush destination filled with rivers, lakes, beautiful plants, and animals like manatees. Miami, on the southeastern coast of the peninsula, is the state's second most populated city, famous for its stunning beaches, high-end shopping, and vibrant nightlife. Nearby, Everglades National Park covers the southern tip of Florida.

Each of the state's 22 metropolitan areas has its own charm and attractions -- and they all have ATV and side by side trails nearby for you to explore.

Four-Wheeling Fun

The Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles publishes important information about off-road and all-terrain vehicles, including safety rules, legal requirements, and more. Whenever you’re riding somewhere new, the best way to prepare is to check the current rules and requirements – and always bring your driver’s license, proof of registration and insurance for your tow vehicle, trailer, and ATVs.

Over 30% of Florida is covered by wetlands, and mudding is a popular pastime -- with ATVs, UTVs, or even Jeeps and four-by-fours! If you prefer not to get muddy, that's okay. Florida has sandy, grassy, and hard-packed trails, too. You'll find ATV and four-wheeling parks throughout the state, plus trail systems that let you explore some of Florida's state forests and unique habitats.

We've rounded up a few ATV parks around the state to get you started! Always review the individual parks' rules, restrictions, hours of operation and other details before you go.
