We're back on the Great Canadian Snowmobile Trail. This time we're hitching on an inline snow trailer from ALCOM and heading for Central Canada, the largest geographical region in the country.
Together, Quebec and Ontario encompass nearly one million square miles of land and water, including a vast swath of the Canadian Shield, with Hudson Bay to the north and west. A visit to Central Canada during snowmobile season opens up endless snowmobile trails and plenty of other winter fun. Your ALCOM all-aluminum inline snowmobile trailer is the best way to haul gear on a winter adventure in Central Canada!
An inline aluminum snowmobile trailer is what we affectionately call "a Pez dispenser for your sleds." Drive them in through the rear ramp door and out through the front ramp door to save time and hassle.
Available in 7' or 7.5' width, in lengths from a compact 12' to a big and burly 24', the inline snowmobile trailer is an ideal sled hauler to customize with cabinets, tie-downs, lights, power, and more upgrades. Choose one or two of your favorite exterior colors to really make your trailer stand out when you're on adventures far from home.
Want to keep things simple? Standard features include front and rear ramp doors, full-length slide track with D-rings for tie-down, water-resistant decking, interior dome lights, a roof vent and a stone guard.
Cross into the provinces of Central Canada and explore the country's largest geographical region. To get there from the USA, you can cross the border into Quebec from Maine or Vermont. Venture into Ontario from New York, Michigan, or Minnesota. Most of Ontario's border with the USA is shared with the beautiful Great Lakes.
Before departing on your trip, don't forget to plan carefully. Check out our quick-start guide to snowmobiling in Canada when you're starting from the USA. Don't forget to always bring essential documents and paperwork, like the insurance and registration for your aluminum All-Sport snow trailer. Always review current border crossing information, inspect your tow vehicle, trailer, and sleds before leaving, and get ready for a great adventure!
Winter in Quebec is a magical time full of plenty to do, from the Winter Carnival to snowshoeing, ice skating -- and of course, snowmobiling. Wherever you choose to visit, there are lodgings specifically catered to snowmobilers throughout the province, and more than 33,000 km of trails to discover, along with stunning views of a winter wonderland.
The province's snowmobile federation oversees local clubs and trails throughout the province. Learn more about the trail systems, find maps, permits, and FAQ at the FCMQ (Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec) website. By the way -- French is the official language of Quebec, so while planning your snowmobile adventure, it's a good time to brush up on your francais conversationnel.
Head west from Quebec or north from New York into Ontario. If you travel through New York, why not stop at Niagara Falls along the way? Head for Toronto next, then haul your inline snowmobile trailer a few hours north to explore a region known as "the Great Canadian Wilderness just north of Toronto." It's big, accessible, and packed with beautiful snowmobile trails to explore.
Put more miles under your sleds than ever before in Central Canada. Under the watch of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs, local clubs maintain over 32,000 km of trails. Get a season or multi-day pass and learn more details at the OFSC website. When you aren't on the trail, try snowshoeing, ice skating, attending a festival like Ottawa's Winterlude, or filling up at local restaurants. Venture far enough north, and you might even see the Northern Lights!
ALCOM builds inline snow trailers for our SnoPro, Mission, High Country, Xpress, Stealth, and EZ Hauler aluminum trailer brands, and thanks to our wide dealer network across the USA and Canada, we have the trailers you need right where you need them.
