Do you have a favorite spot that’s not on our list? Let us know where you and your ALCOM aluminum PWC trailer are headed this summer.
Lake Michigan
The second largest Great Lake by volume - with over 1100 cubic miles of water - Lake Michigan is a PWC paradise. Some adventurous folks will even cross the whole lake on a jet ski!
The only Great Lake to be entirely contained within the United States, Lake Michigan is bordered by parts of Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. Its 1600 miles of shoreline are home to cities like Green Bay and Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, IL; and Grand Rapids, MI. At the northern tip of the lake, its waters are connected via the Straits of Mackinac to Lake Huron to the east.
Find lodging and launching spots in an endless list of towns and cities around the lake. Generally, the southern end of the lake is warmer, and contains larger metropolitan areas - while the northern part of the lake is colder and less developed. Dotted with islands, peninsulas, and several large freshwater bays, Lake Michigan has something for everyone, from a city getaway to a campground escape.
Load up your Triton aluminum PWC trailer - made right across the lake in Hartford, Wisconsin - and get ready to experience Lake Michigan’s beauty in person.
Lake Ouachita
In Arkansas, haul your wave runners to Lake Ouachita for a freshwater adventure. Constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers between 1948 and 1953, the state’s largest lake is a reservoir created by damming the Oachita River. This vacation destination features resorts and campgrounds around its shorelines, plus a state park with cabin and campsite rentals available.
Hitch on your Triton all aluminum PWC trailer and head for this beautiful inland oasis. The lake boasts well-stocked fishing, plus some unusual, non-stinging jellyfish who seldom appear in freshwater, but make their home in Lake Oachita! During your day on the lake, swing by spots like Echo Canyon Marina or Three Sisters Springs. Nearby Hot Springs National Park and Garvan Woodland Gardens are beautiful spots to visit when you want to spend some time on dry land.
Lake Powell
In the Southwest USA, Lake Powell sits amid the incredible natural beauty of Utah and Arizona. Created by flooding the Glen Canyon via the Glen Canyon Dam, Lake Powell is the second-largest artificial reservoir in the United States. Pull the Triton aluminum PWC trailer up to one of the numerous boat launches around the lake, and head out to see incredible sights in this canyon wonderland. Resorts and campgrounds near the lake in both Arizona and Utah make a great home base for your Lake Powell adventure and any other national parks or sites you plan to visit!
When Lake Powell was created, some natural features like Cathedral in the Desert were covered - but when the lake’s water level is low, due to drought conditions in the region, this stunning cathedral-like rock formation may be seen in the lake.
As with any jet-ski adventure destination, don’t forget to follow the local laws and any signs you see while riding, including EPA regulations for PWC engine emissions.
Lake Tahoe
Another destination for freshwater fun and so much more, Lake Tahoe is sandwiched between Nevada and California. It’s the second-deepest lake in the USA, with maximum depths of 1645 feet. The lake is so big that at its widest parts, the opposing shorelines are below the horizon!
With so much surface area, Lake Tahoe is a personal watercraft playground. With plenty of boat ramps on the California and Nevada sides, pick your favorite place to launch, then stop at lake-side restaurants with docks to get a bite during your day. Or choose a lake-side resort or campground to park your Triton PWC trailer and use as your home base for summer fun.
Lake Placid
Nestled in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, in the shadow of Whiteface Mountain ski resort, Lake Placid sparkles in the sunshine. The Adirondacks are a popular vacation destination and there is plenty of natural beauty to explore, both on the lake and around it. While you’re in the area, check out Olympic Village, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics and the 2000 Goodwill Games.
Whether you choose a rustic campground or a sprawling lakeside lodge for your stay, get to know Lake Placid on your PWC when you head out from the free public boat launch. There are three islands in the lake - Buck, Moose, and Hawk - two of which are inhabited by camps and homes. In fact, boats continue to be a vital part of life on Lake Placid, not just for recreation - but to access many of the homes around the lake due to limited road access!
If you want to listen to the call of the loons at night and zip around the lake by day, hitch your Triton PWC trailer to the truck or SUV and head for the Adirondacks!
